The third edition of the International Pasarela Gran Canaria Moda Calida Bath 2010 will present the latest trends, on 26 June in the south of the island, which is consolidated in respect of European swimwear and promotes the work of designers canaries.

The Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Ines Jimenez, noted that this issue involved fifteen companies and bath accessories attached to Gran Canaria Moda Calida and eleven national and international designers.

Stand out brands like La Perla, Vanity Fair, Andres Sarda, Guillermina Baeza, Dos Mares, Gema and designers such as Modesto Lomba, which presents its collection of exclusive men`s bathroom, or Javier Larrainzar, with women`s fashion.

The parade will be held for the second consecutive year in Expomeloneras, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, close to the Faro de Maspalomas, a representative environment of the landscape of the island of Gran Canaria.

In this edition models will be encouraged to canaries, which parade along with other so called Ariadne Artiles.

The gateway becomes professional and specializes in swimwear with the aim of becoming the first gateway in the sector not only in Spain but in Europe and with the advance of the collection in 2011, Jimenez said during a news conference.

This year`s edition has a budget of 300,000 euros, compared to 450,000 last year, following the economic crisis, so that corporate sponsorship has been more crucial than ever, said the counselor.
